Sati Anusuya Ashram, enthusiastic to Maharshi Atri and his wife Sati Anusuya, is positioned about 16 km as of the core of the Chitrakoot Township in a impenetrable jungle area. Sati Anusuya is upstream from Janaki Kund.
It is alleged that at this position Sati Anusuya had malformed the three sons, who were incarnation of Brahma, Vishnu, and Mahesh (Shiv). The Ashram has an icon of Anusuya, her companion Maharshi Atri, their sons Duttatreya, Durwasa, Chandrama and an assortment of other gods and sages.
Sati Anusuiya Ashram is situated to the south of Ramghat in a dense forest area.  Sati Anasuya Temple is located at Sati Anasuya in Chitrakut District of Uttar Pradesh.This Ashram is situated at left bank of holy Mandakini. It enshrine the idol of Sati Anasuya.
It is whispered that the Mandakini canal emerge as a effect of Anasuya's consideration. As per depiction of Valmiki at one moment there was no drizzle in Chitrakuta for ten years. There was a severe famine and nothing was left to eat or drink for animals and birds. Sati Anusuya performed hard and intensive austerities and got the river Mandakini down on earth.
