There are two celebrations in the Indian logbook which commend the excellent bond between sibling and sister. The principal is Raksha Bandhan and the second, Bhai Dooj. An alternate legend has it that after Lord Krishna killed the devil Narakasur, he went to his sister Subhadra on dooj day. She provided for him a customary, loving welcome by anointing him with Tilak. 
 
Yet an alternate story is joined with Bhagwan Mahavir. After Mahavir achieved nirvana, his sibling, Raja Nandivardhan, felt discouraged and sad because of his long nonappearance.
