Upcoming Festival-When is Vaman Jayanti in the Year 2021

 

Vaman Jayanti is observed on Shukla Paksha Dwadashi (12th day of waxing moon period) of Bhadrapada month. This festival is also known as Vaman Dwadashi.

 

As per the legends, Vamana is Lord Vishnu’s fifth incarnation and he was born in the Shravan Nakshatra on Vaman Dwadasi day.

On this day devotees worship Maha Vishnu early in the morning with proper rituals. Donating  food, rice, curd etc is considered to be auspicious on this day. In the evening of the festival day, the devotees should listen to Story of Vamana along with the family members and distribute prasadam among everyone.

Devotees should observe fast and perform puja with proper rituals to please Lord Vamana and to get all wishes fulfilled.
